Fred Hutch brings together rare cancer community

Patients, families, clinicians and researchers gathered for TRACER’s first Rare Cancer Patient & Caregivers Education Symposium to share experiences and learn more about what makes rare cancers so difficult to diagnose, study and treat. The event dug into the science behind rarity, the gaps patients often face in the medical system and the relief of finding others who understand the emotional and practical realities of living with an uncommon disease. The day underscored a simple truth: rare cancers are individually uncommon, but collectively they form a large community — one strengthened by coming together.
